Mission Ministries:
Food Pantry – is located at 25 Wesley Rd., in Peralta (off Hwy 47), and is an all-volunteer ministry. Hours of operation — 9:30 am to 12 noon (most) every Monday
Food boxes are available for pick up twice a month (2 Mondays).
The Food Pantry is located on the far west side of the church property…off of Wesley road. Please park your vehicle, then line up on the ramp to the building for your turn to register/sign in. You will then be directed to return to your vehicle to drive to the dock area, where food boxes will be distributed. Those wishing to receive a food box must bring a photo ID and proof of their current address ( Isleta, Peralta, Bosque Farms, or Los Lunas -village or unincorporated areas). (utility bill, rent agreement, insurance card, for example).
Abundant Grace Free Store – was founded by volunteers from Peralta Methodist Church & is located at 203 Rio Communities Blvd in Rio Communities/Belen. The Free Store provides FREE clothing and household items to families in need, doing what Jesus Christ calls us to do while also sharing the love of Christ through prayer, devotionals, and actions. The Free Store is always in need of volunteers of all kinds to help with administration, greeting shoppers, and sorting donated items. The Free Store is now an independent non-profit organization serving thousands of families from Valencia County and beyond. Hours of operation – Open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for everyone.
Threads of Love – this volunteer group makes baby blankets and sends them to new little ones along with a prayer. They meet the second Saturday of each month from 10:30 am to noon in the Fellowship Hall. Each year the group makes about 120 blankets, that are distributed to Presbyterian Rust Hospital, the Valencia County Domestic Violence Shelter, CareNet, the Abundant Grace Free Store, and anyone who requests a blanket for a baby.
Methodist Men – Meet for fellowship, and a Christian men’s study on the second and fourth Sundays each month at 7:00 AM. Members of the men’s group are active in ministry throughout the community and the Methodist Men raise money for scholarships supporting graduating high school seniors who are ACTIVE at Peralta Methodist Church; community ministries such as CareNet and other church ministries. Through active service and financial support, the Methodist Men help share the love of Christ with others within the church and throughout the community.
Methodist Women-Mary Circle – meets the second Tuesday of the month from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. The emphasis of the Mary Circle is prayer, Bible devotions, & fellowship. During the meetings, mission concerns discussed, local prayer concerns are added and all concerns are prayed for at the meetings and taken home for continual prayer. Our special prayer mission currently is for the children’s ministry & our church. Mary Circle supports local missions; gifts to church graduates, Christmas Party at the Women’s Recovery Academy, and Special Projects;
